The Go Bloodstock team were delighted to get homebred 3yo filly QUEEN OF THE BALL (100%) back on a reasonably dry track and she did not disappoint. Trained by Michael Freedman and ridden by Blake Shinn – QUEEN sprung the gates, dominated the race and was not for catching. Raced by Sir Owen with grandson Adrian – QUEEN registered her 3rd Group success here. We now look for QUEEN to test her metal against the best 3yo sprinters in the land in the Group 1 Coolmore Stakes down the Flemington straight on Derby Day.
A proud graduate of the Go Bloodstock breeding program – QUEEN OF THE BALL (By I AM INVINCIBLE) is the first foal from stakes winning mare MISS DEBUTANTE who Sir Owen raced. She was purchased by Paul Moroney for Go Bloodstock as a yearling. Her 2nd foal PLATINUM JUBILEE is already a trial winner and contests the Gimcrack Stakes this Saturday. Could she post back to back Group wins for her Mum? We hope so.
The future is bright for QUEN OF THE BALL and MISS DEBUTANTE and the future is bright for Go Bloodstock.
