Group 1 NZ Derby winner ASTERIX returned to form on Saturday with a first up Group 3 win over 2000m at Randwick headlining a banner day for Go Bloodstock bred grads. He now heads to Qld in search of another Group 1 win and headlined 3 winners Go Bloodstock bred ex Curraghmore Stud on the day.
Part owned 5yo mare UNIQUE AMBITION kicked off proceedings at Randwick with an impressive Midway win for Sarge. This was a deserved win from a talented mare and continued Go Bloodstock’s good record with TAVISTOCK and our NZ stallion shareholding.
The Curraghmore treble was accomplished with RIVERPLATE who notched his 7th career win at Wanganui for Andrew Campbell and he looks to have further wins in store.
The final black type earner for Go Bloodstock breeding grads came in WA’s leading 2yo contest as AURUM BELLE placed 3rd in the Karrakatta Plate backing up her previous Group 3 win. Bred with the China Horse Club and with her first runner a Group winning 2yo like she was – the future is bright for DAME GISELLE.
