Sir Owen & the Go Bloodstock team were trackside at Randwick on Saturday as our FRANKEL colt SIR DELIUS returned from his enforced absence with a solid 3rd placing over 1600m at Group 1 level – his 10th top 3 finish from 11 career starts.
We are delighted with how SIR DELIUS has returned knowing he only improves with racing & over longer distances and we look forward to some exciting clashes over 2000m in the weeks ahead as we look to regain our mantle as the top middle-distance performer in the country.
Fellow Go Bloodstock trainee WOOTTON VERNI was an eye catcher in the same race flashing home. He in in top form and you’d be a brave punter to take him as he steps up to 2000m & beyond for his target races.
In other news, Golden Slipper winner LADY OF CAMELOT could not be looking better as she builds towards Royal Ascot while high profile 2yo colt STEEL WILL put in an improved trial at Warwick Farm on Monday. He is one to follow as is AIR OF SOLACE who has just returned to the Waller stable.
Exciting times ahead with the action this weekend headlined by Newgate partnership colts BEADMAN & PROVIDENCE at Randwick while homebred DYNAST KING kicks off his Autumn Derby campaign for Matt Vella at Hawkesbury.
