Sir Owen is always keen to support New Zealand when possible and it was pleasing to see our NZ bred 3yo SAVABEEL gelding gain a deserved breakthrough win on his seasonal debut at Canterbury on Friday night. Carrying top weight, he held off all challengers under an excellent Josh Parr ride. The future is bright for NAMASTE who will only improve in confidence and physical condition from here.
It was great to get the win with fellow NZ bred Bjorn Baker racing with a beautiful 3yo selected by Jim Clarke Bloodstock at the NZ Karaka Yearling Sales.
