FRANKEL colt SIR DELIUS could not have been more impressive when showing the world why he is the Melbourne Cup favourite with his stamina and competitive spirit on full show as he ground down BUCKAROO to land the Group 1 Underwood Stakes at Caulfield.
Now a Group 1 winning FRANKEL colt over 1800m – SIR DELIUS has assured himself of his place at stud but there are plenty of races to target first – not least of all a coveted Melbourne Cup for Sir Owen. What an exciting Spring ahead.
It may not have been a stallion making Group 1 win but an important win none the less saw homebred filly MISS FLEETWOOD impressively land a deserved maiden win at Nowra for Michael Freedman. Named in honour of Sir Owen’s great granddaughter – we are all thrilled to see her live up to her name. The penny has dropped with our well bred filly who can now progress to more wins.
