2yo colt NORTH ENGLAND showed all the speed and toughness one needs to win at the elite 2yo level when leading all the way under a good Tim Clark ride to land the valuable Golden Gift for our Newgate colt partnership – with our slipper winners Gai & Adrian training.
NORTH ENGLAND is all speed but he held on gamely when challenged late and was still in front 50 meters past the post. It is not easy for 2yos to back up in two high pressure races this early in their career so this effort from NORTH ENGLAND deserves plenty of credit.
All roads now lead to the Golden Slipper for NORTH ENGLAND who will spell now and be back for a Slipper trial in early 2025. Congratulations to Henry and all our partners.
